although i had taken a long break from the car world, its once again show season so after sum debating i decided to pull some of my toys out and shine up for the annual new orleans world of wheels carshow which finally moved back home to the superdome. this yr was def my smoothest move to the show because the cars were def redi and all i had to do was put in a week of polishing chrome and waxing candy paint.
to say the least i have a bit of a history with this show. ive prob attended every world of wheels in new orleans whether in the rivergate, superdome or the convention center since i was bout 3yrs old. i remember walkn around with my dad and sometimes my mom and sisters would join us. i remember vividly me and my dad in deep discussion about this car and that motorcycle just walking for hours lookn at the sites over and over. i mainly looked forward to the end of the shows every year on sunday nites wen the contestants would break down theyre setups and start the cars. we would wait patiently all nite in the rain or cold just so i could see what they really did, whether it was a burnout or a wheelie or jus a old couple cruising off into the nite it was just great to me and as the years went on and i got older id share that experience with friends and strangers who didnt kno that even happened and they wud come too. with all of that taken in would give me and dad enough to talk about and reflect on for a year til the next years show. we would talk on how if we had money we wud be in there with our fav cars too over and over and what we would do......... well im glad years later and after alot of hard wrk i could keep my word to my dad as a kid and now we are in that show too. it was also great to bring home several yrs worth of awards to my mom who although she was sick and battling for her life would motivate and encourage me to get out the house and go enter the shows although she could not attend. in fact my mom only got to see me in 1 world of wheels back in 2011 and i was so surprised to see her there just smiling and havin the great times only she knew how to have
RIP Momma
