2012 World of Wheels New Orleans part1

Ok, although the decision to enter a car at this years show was last minute due to other more important life matters im glad that i did. After a talk with Kal Smith(show organizer) and with help from deshay(my employee/ baddass tattoo artist)  I decided to clean up at least 1 of the toys and head to the convention center for check-in day last thursday.  "anna mae" my 63 impala/ my #1 was the car for this job, being as she was my first complete custom build years ago. I also brought along 1 of my bicycles as well. 

Everytime I get asked why do I do this, and or why do I add things like this to my already hectic schedule I think this,,,, all the hard work, stress/ no sleep, endless hours of turning wrenches, polishing chrome, wiping down leather and waxing paint all pays off when i stand back and watch the joy and memories my finished products bring to the generations that came before me and all the little kids that stand and stare. Yes there are members of my generation and younger who look past the antiques and classics to the newer cars and gadgets like the new camaros, vettes, benz and etc but truth is this those vehicles are just a fade and will not last lifetimes. Personally unless they are heavily customized or are of a elite status where not many can afford or drive it    they have little place in a custom show atmosphere. Same goes for so called interior shops who use the word custom but only install internet kits in new cars...............Its like bringn a knife to a gunfight and so on,,, they more so reflect sum1's ability to show they either have good credit or a good co-signer and they're social baller status,, not the creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality that symbolizes the word CUSTOM.

World of Wheels 2012

come checkout all the customs in this years show,, theres always sumthin for everyones taste.

Crazy but Ive been attending this show pretty much every year since i was 3 or 4 yrs old.  Cool thing is it has always happened right around or on my bday, so it was always like a gift to get to go.   ALSO a last minute decision but come checkout my custom 63 impala lowrider that will be on display, which has placed "Best in Class" in shows of previous years.
